SIDE EFFECTS OF EXERCISE (that don't involve your weight)

Reasons why you workout will change over the years while you're constantly evolving into an improved version of yourself. When I first stated working out, I did it because I wanted to change my body. It started from a negative place, a place of hatred for my body and my appearance. Unfortunately, I believe this to be true for a lot of people.

What I didn't realize is that by working out, I would gain so much more than a change in the way I looked. In fact, my body really didn't start changing until I stopped focusing on the physical aspects of working out and started looking inward. How did working out make me feel? How was my energy? How was my mental health?

It's not easy to quit hyper-fixating on wanting to change your body, especially when it's something you've spent so much of your years obsessing over. The process of transitioning your mindset won't be immediate, but I'd argue it's the only way to not only adopt a sustainable, healthy lifestyle, but also the only way to get the body that you desire.

Energy.

Confidence.

Self-Worth.

Purpose.

Friendships.

Management of Stress/Anxiety/Depression.

Happiness.

Mental Clarity.

Improved Relationships.

All of these things have surfaced simply from moving my body in a way I love. For me, it's lifting weights. For you, it may be something different, but all of these benefits are waiting for you.
