My Name is Mandi Kalmon. I’m a 27-year-old certified personal trainer from Wisconsin who aspires to see the world and help others learn the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. From an early age, I’ve been mindful of my health and taking care of my own body by being active and powering it with whole foods. Throughout the years, I’ve gained knowledge through my own experiences and research, growing more passionate about wellness every day. From the moment I wake up to the second I go to sleep, I focus on living a healthy life, both mentally and physically, and wondering if I have the ability to help others step closer to attaining their optimal fitness levels. What if the knowledge that I have, that allows me to live a balanced life, could help others who may struggle with prioritizing their own health? Sunday often has a negative connotation associated with it since Monday is right around the corner, but it’s a perfect time to assess your goals and the actions you can take in the upcoming week to move you closer to achieving them. Each Sunday, I post a Sunday Motivation Blog that will provide a healthy habit which you can incorporate into your life to live healthier, happier, and prepare for a successful week. One of the most empowering things you can do is build muscle and create a strong physique that you earned through hard work. Strength training builds so much more than just muscle—it builds self-esteem and confidence. It boosts energy levels and moods. In addition, muscle translates to more calories burned. How? Having more muscle accelerates your metabolism meaning that you will burn more calories throughout the day.

What you consume is an absolutely vital part of a healthy lifestyle. No fitness goal, whether it be to lose weight or gain lean muscle, can be achieved without a proper, nutrient-dense diet.
